Autumn Transport was founded in Lake Elmo, Minnesota in April of 1980 with a thirteen hole Timpte grain hopper and a special vision of the future. By the end of that crucial first year, seven more hoppers had been added and Autumn Transport established itself as a company who understood that transporting agricultural products was, above all else, a service. This concept was so important in those early days that it became a "way of thinking" and it drove nearly all decisions in this remarkable success story.

As more trailers were added, the service philosophy that drove so many early decisions led naturally to the formation of a dispatch department early in 1981. Orderly scheduling and dispatch control are at the heart of any transport company and Autumn is no exception. The personnel that were added for this important function brought years of valuable dispatch experience to Autumn and laid the foundation for what was to come.

In April 1984, after experiencing rapid growth in its hopper fleet, Autumn added a tanker fleet which doubled the company's size overnight. More importantly, it added the capacity to serve its clients better by transporting agricultural liquids.

A couple of years later, to further serve the expanding needs of its customers, Autumn began its end dump division and by 1993 had expanded this division by nearly 20 trailers.

Based on the experience of personnel and repeated customer inquiries, Autumn began its pneumatic division in August of 1995. Starting with only 3 trailers, the pneumatic division is Autumns fastest growing fleet with 44 trailers today.

Autumn now stands as America's leading transport company who's primary market is agriculture. It serves the 48 contiguous United States and Canada with over 100 trailers, most of which are 4 years old or newer.
